How was our universe created? How did it come to be the apparently infinite place we know of today? And what will become of it, ages from now? My young Geographers started the quest to look for these answers.
And we joined Tilda Swinton and CERN scientists on an epic interactive journey through the birth and evolution of the universe - in mixed reality. We went back in time i.e. 13.8 billion years to discover how space, time, and the visible universe came to be. My young Geographers had the whole universe form in the palm of their hand. They witnessed the formation of the very first stars, our solar system, and the planet in their own space - live.
They immersed themselves in the primordial mystery of the early universe in space and watched events unfold around them, in their physical environment. They learned about the microscopic building blocks that make up everything - and everyone - they know, and find out if they truly are made of stars. These young minds saw the universe form as they stretch out their hand in front of the camera. They created the very first particles and atoms. They made a star explode, create a supernova and explore the nebula. They saw our solar system coming together and hold the mother Earth in the palm of their hand.
