Let’s Write a Newspaper Story!

A newspaper story is mostly about people who do things! These stories answer all the 5W question - Who, Why, When, Where and What? The five Ws is a very basic tool for putting all stories together. Students worked co-operatively in designing a 'Newspaper' and were focused on the task at hand. They were hooked on writing! Students were transformed into reporters who wrote a newspaper article on the 'Trails and the Execution of the French King' by either being a supporter of the king or someone against the king. The choice was left to them. Writing the article was actually fun for the students.
